Inventory Optimization can be found in Flywheel within Products > Inventory Metrics. Navigate here to review and analyze key inventory metrics and demand forecast insights for your Amazon business.

Does Inventory Optimization work for both FBA and FBM SKUs?

Flywheel displays inventory data for all Fulfilled By Amazon (FBA) SKUs held in Amazon's Fulfillment Network (AFN).

For Fulfilled By Merchant (FBM) SKUs, inventory data can only be displayed if the Seller has reported their inventory levels to Amazon. Since these SKUs are not held in AFN inventory metrics data will be incomplete. Forecasts and insights are most accurate for FBA inventory.

Are COGS required to use Inventory Optimization?

Yes. In order to display profitability metrics such as inventory value, estimated profit margin, and return on investment, the cost of goods sold (COGS) must be entered at the product level. COGS can be set on the Product Settings page. Be sure to update your COGS anytime there are changes to the unit cost.
